Do you have grooming?

By

We have a groomer that does a wonderful job on our GVAH patients only.  Grooming during lengthy procedures or hospital stays may not be the best option for your pet, but our doctors often perform the Annual Well Pet or Minor Problem Exam on the day of grooming for your convenience.  Annual exams and vaccines as stated above are required for groomings.

Do you have boarding?

By

We do board in our spacious runs and kennels for our clients only.  We are not an open boarding facility and we do require annual physical exams on your pets so that we can be familiar with you and your pet’s needs.  Your dogs must be current on DHPP, RABIES, and Bordatella vaccinations, and for cats we require FVRCP and RABIES.

What to bring to my appointment?

By

Please bring any information on your pet’s previous history such as breeder, previous owners and vaccines, any medical records or xrays you may have for a second opinion.  Please bring a stool sample to your annual well pet visits or if your pet is having diarrhea.

Do you have overnight care?

By

We do not have doctors in our building overnight but we do have staff members who live upstairs in an apartment that can check on your pets when it is needed.  If your pet is critical and they need overnight care, we recommend transferring your pet to one of the local 24hr emergency centers.  The decision to transfer your pet is made together with the you and the doctors based on individual needs and financial restrictions.

How much do you charge?

By

As every case is different, it is very difficult to estimate the costs of the medical care needed for your pet until they have been examined by one of our doctors. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations, and will gladly present you with a treatment plan at the time of your appointment. General estimates can be given for routine care and vaccinations at the time of your call. If you have not received an estimate for your pet’s treatment plan, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

What if I have an emergency with my pet?

By

The doctors and staff at Green Valley Animal Hospital need their rest during the evenings so that they can be here for you from 7am-6pm Monday – Friday and 7am-2pm on Saturday.  We work closely with two local 24hr emergency animal hospitals – Crossroads in Frederick and Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg.  The doctors here work with you and the emergency centers to decide the best course of care for your pet during critical and overnight needs.
